Circuit 1 – Panoramic
Circuit 1 offers beautiful panoramic views of Machu Picchu from the upper parts of the site. Note that this circuit does not include access to the urban area of the citadel. There are 4 routes within Circuit 1, two available year-round and two only during the high season (June, July, August and September).
Route 1-A: Machu Picchu Mountain Route

Circuit 2 – Classic Machu Picchu
Circuit 2 is the most comprehensive tour, covering both the upper terraces and the urban sector of Machu Picchu. Available year-round, this circuit is divided into two routes.
Route 2-A: Classic Designed Route

There are different rates available:
- General Rate: For foreign visitors.
- Promotional Rate: For Peruvian visitors and members of the Andean Community (CAN).

Machu Picchu has 3 circuits divided into 10 routes. Select the circuit and specific route you wish to take. The options include:

The tickets that sell out the fastest are Circuit 2, the classic route, and Huayna Picchu. Circuit 2 is popular because it covers the main attractions of Machu Picchu, while Huayna Picchu is limited to 400 visitors per day, making both options highly sought after. It is not common that the tickets to Machu Picchu sold out, first of all, make sure there are no tickets for the day you want, remember that from 2019 the entrance type changed, now the tickets are sell for a specific time or hour. The entrance begins from 6 AM to 2 PM in the afternoon, so make sure there are spaces for other times for the day you want.
Normally the tickets have a high demand for the months of June, July and August, for those dates try to buy well in advance.

The Ministry of Culture has enabled since 2021 7 different types of tickets that give you access to different parts of Machu Picchu.
Currently only 4 are available, the ones described above.

1. Street Garcilaso s/n Cusco – The Garcilaso House is only 2 blocks from the Main Square, in the Historic Center of Cusco.
2. Street Maruri 324 – The Desconcertada Direction of Culture Cusco is also a few meters from the Main Square of the city.
The availability of Machu Picchu tickets for the following year (2025) is officially on sale in mid-December 2024 and early January 2025. But this may vary, so you have to be aware and visit this page again to keep updated and informed of any changes.
